Band ini didirikan pada tahun1997 dengan anggota berjumlah 5 orang yaitu Jordan Pundik, Chad Gilbert, Steve Klein, Ian Grushka, dan Cyrus Bolooki. Album pertamanya ialah Nothing Gold Can Stay dirilis pada tahun 1999.
